Let go of the chase for perfection

Did you know that you don’t have to be perfect with your training plan or diet, to achieve your health goals?

Life often messes up our plans, and super strict programs most of the time don’t work. Why? Because of the 100% Myth! Somehow, we tend to believe that if we’re not 100% perfect with following our plan, we have to either over train, starve, or simply skip the week and start again next week.

Researchers checked how diets affect our mental health. What they found is that strict diet plans lead to more binge eating, cravings, less control, and lots of guilt when enjoying favourite foods. But they also found that people who lose weight and keep it off for years don’t follow super strict diets. They eat carbs, have breakfast, and avoid extreme restrictions. What they do is simply avoid 0% weeks — those weeks, when one bad day makes you give up on healthy habits.

So, here’s my suggestion: ditch chasing 100% perfection and stop those 0% weeks of neglect. See the bigger picture, enjoy some flexibility and give yourself space to build better health habits.

Success isn’t about being perfect for a short time. Success is about being consistently good for a long time.

Successful people don’t quit just because of one mistake. Stack 50% or 75% good weeks, and you will reach your goals without stress or quitting. Let go of the chase for perfection and focus on creating sustainable, long-term changes in your well-being journey with ActionSage!
